Competition Winner Announced for New BeerHeadZ Brew Following a recent competition BeerHeadZ Lincoln has revealed the name of its exclusive beer which will be brewed specially for the company by Derbyshire-based nano- brewery Urban Chicken Ale. Beer lover Jordan Cooling from Lincoln came up with the quirky yet apt winning name for the exclusive beer, A Taste of Freedom. Jordan said: “I chose the name ‘A Taste of Freedom’ after such a long time of being unable to simply enjoy a good proper pint in my favourite pub. When I had my first pint back in BeerHeadZ, my first thought was, it was the taste of freedom and a bit of normality. The name then stuck! “I’m thrilled to have been chosen as the winner and I am hoping that when BeerHeadZ’ customers try it, they will agree with me. …

BeerHeadZ develops new OutZide-IN technology to beat restrictions.

BeerHeadZAnnouncements, News 4 Comments

With the current restrictions allowing hospitality to open with outdoor-only service later this month, BeerHeadZ has been working over the last year in close partnership with British tech company FL-AirLoop developing a new technology that, quite literally, brings the outdoor atmosphere indoors, allowing pubs with no outside areas to safely open without breaking the current rules. The new ‘BHZ OutZidE-IN‘ system expands on research from NASA and CERN and allows isolated ‘bubbles’ of fresh air to be positioned at any position within premises so that, to all intents and purposes, people are actually sitting outside. The bubbles are created by invisible forcefields which are then filled with the outdoor atmosphere via a nano-wormhole ‘inlet’ (an open door or window is required) and spent air is expelled through a secondary outlet wormhole. The whole system can be simply controlled from a …

New Lithuanian beer is simply magic!

BeerHeadZAnnouncements, Beer, Breweries, News Leave a Comment

In a World first, Lithuania’s AF Alaus Darykla (AF Brewery) has pioneered a technique of making beer from just air and water. The equipment used in this process looks reminiscent of the apparatus that brought the monster to life in Universal’s 1931 film of Mary Shelly’s ‘Frankenstein’ and literally, through sparks and alchemy, sucks one methyl (-CH3) group, one methylene (-CH2-) group, and one hydroxyl (-OH) group of molecules out of the air and combines them to form C2H5OH – Ethanol, or Ethyl Alcohol. The alcohol is then collected in small vessels (the process is extremely power intensive and only produces very small quantities). How the malt and hop character is obtained is nothing short of ingenious. Jets of the produced alcohol are literally squirted at super-high speed through compressed blocks of the desired hops and malts. The velocity of …
