OK folks, we are so, so close. The builders are still in but we are working frantically around them to get BeerHeadZ ready for opening on Thursday evening. There is a little more decoration to be done and a little plumbing work to be done on the toilets. We have furniture arriving tomorrow and the signage is being done on Thursday morning. It really is going to be down to the wire! Another update tomorrow.
Progress update.
Well, due to hollow promises from builders (nothing new there then!) we are way behind schedule. But if the builders are out, as promised, by this Friday, then we still have a fighting chance to open by the 23rd October. It will be a mammoth task, but with a major effort it is still doable. Rest assured we are doing everything to make it happen! Our shiny new three-tier stillage was erected this morning and the cellar piping loom will be fitted tomorrow, ready for delivery of our first beers on Friday. Stay posted for more updates soon!
Opening date planned.
Buliders have been awarded the contract and work is scheduled to start next Thursday, 2nd October. Our target date for opening is week commencing 20th October, just in time for the Retford Beer Festival, which is held right next door to BeerHeadZ at the Town Hall. It’s going to be tight, but we’re confident we can do it. Stay posted!
