Beer has historically been perceived as ‘the drink of the working man’ and, as such, has been expected to be cheap and accessible to all. But is this still the case now? ‘Cheap’ beer is certainly still available – just walk in to your nearest ‘cut-price’ local – You might strike lucky, but the vast majority of the time you will receive a competent but bland and ordinary pint. Located on King Street in Melton Mowbray’s oldest secular building (parts of which date back to 1330), BeerHeadZ have created a beer haven for the discerning drinkers of Melton. Featuring beers from draught, craft, bottle and can, we hope to offer something for everyone. Confused by the choice? Never fear! Our enthusiastic team are on had to help you decide what to try. BeerHeadZ Retford is doing its bit to help this November 5th go off with a bang as we launch our much-requested craft beer offering on the bar. We have installed four KeyKeg lines and lined up for you on this coming Saturday will be: Beavertown – Gamma Ray 5.4% Described on their website as ‘A brew you can sit on and drink all day, rammed with juicy malts and huge tropical aromas of mango and grapefruit. Massive additions of whole leaf American hops are added in ever increasing numbers at the end of the boil giving huge hop flavour.
